As usual…the end of the summer we are always squeezing in every last bit of fun. We had been planning a weekend getaway with great friends and finally found a date that worked for everyone. We decided to hit a few quaint Michigan beach towns. To just walk around, visit, and relax.

First stop was New Buffalo. We stopped for lunch at The Stray Dog which is so yummy and right off the beach! We were there a few years ago but due to a fire it has been remodeled and is even cuter than before. Very beach casual and relaxing. Then we headed to St. Joseph and walked around the stores.

Loved this storefront!

This was a cute cupcake truck on the way to the waterfront…

It was such a luxury to not be on a time schedule and just stop whenever and wherever we wanted!

We made it to Holland and ate dinner there before heading to Grand Rapids to stay for the night. Our second day we made our way back and stopped at Saugatauk. I loved the quaintness of this town and we found this cute coffee shop and I had the most amazing GF macaroon!

The guys had their coffee and most of the shops had chairs outside to lounge in. Not a bad gig for them! The weather was perfect!

We headed back and grabbed lunch in South Haven and did a little more shopping before heading home.

There were so many quaint towns and we just got a snippet of each. I would love to get back that direction when we have more time. I’m so glad we took the time to squeeze in our quick weekend. It was just what we needed. Can’t wait to do it again!
